If you are visiting Seward, the Flamingo Lounge is a must-stop. It’s probably best to have a reservation, but there are bar seats that are open to walk-ins and we were able to grab seats within 10-15 minutes of arriving. The drinks and food were incredible and we loved the service from bartender Ben. The ambiance here is unlike any other spot you’ve been and really puts you in the most fun mood. What a great vibe!! We hope to return again. We had the reindeer meatballs, seafood chowder, and halibut po’ boy. Wouldn’t change a thing!

We ate at a high top in the back because the place was so crowded. The ceiling is a sun pattern and crazy empty liquor bottles are everywhere. It’s a fun look. But the food!!! We started with a crab cake appetizer. Then Absolutely the best salmon I have ever had. Grilled with a blueberry sauce. We shared a bucket of buts. (Halibut deep fried with a wonderful crunchy crust). I would like to return there for another meal before I leave Seward.

What a fun and quirky place! The decor is so retro it feels like you've stepped back in time. The food menu is relatively limited, but everything they do, they do WELL. Everything we ordered was fabulous. The crab cake was sooo fresh. My only regret is that I got the 6 piece bucket of butt and not the 10 piece! The drinks are also very fun and creative- perfect match to the ambiance. Definitely a must try when visiting Seward!

Amazing place to grab dinner in Seward! Awesome cocktails, great food, friendly bartenders, and incredible vibes! Love the interior design. We didn’t get a table but sat at the bar and it was such a great experience. Must visit when in Seward!

Has character and staff is really nice. We showed up on Memorial Day weekend at the height of dinner time and they let us grab a cocktail standing for a chance to sneak into a bar seat for food before the table could open (1 hour wait). Worked and food was great! Crab is good enough to stand alone so just hope when we're back they have a full crab entree!!

Having visited this restaurant many times (though not a local) I think I can say that this is a true classic in Seward, which has passed hands to excellent new owners. The refurbishment of the location was tastefully done, keeping all of the treasures (e.g. the incredible bottle collection) in their place, while giving a new touch to the fabulous vibes of old. Beautiful restaurant in one of the world's most beautiful places. MUST ORDER: Fried halibut (bucket of butt!) and pretty much anything else. Also - cocktails are lovely. We loved the Flamingo Lounge! We got the small bucket of “butt”, the soup of the day (which was chicken and dumpling, delicious!), and the fried pickles. The halibut chunks were perfectly sized and felt we got a good amount for the price. The tartar sauce that came with it was delightful, very dill forward which we loved. The fried pickles were probably the best I’ve ever had, they also came with a great jalapeno aioli dipper. And the soup was warm and delicious. We didn’t get any drinks but I wish we had! Everyone around us had drinks that looked really tasty. If we were local, this would definitely be a date night dinner spot for us.

Really enjoyed all of their food and fancy drinks! Very cozy atmosphere. Super appreciate the separated fryer for GF items to meet needs of our gluten-free family members. They accommodated seating for our group of 5 in just 30 minutes with no reservation. Maggie was our waitress and just so sweet and lovely.
